SUI Nigeria Holds event at Reenite Spaces

This past weekend, the tech community in Uyo came alive as SUI Nigeria hosted its highly anticipated Developers Meet-up, proudly sponsored by the Sui Foundation. The two-day event gathered developers, blockchain enthusiasts, and builders to learn, collaborate, and connect around the Move language and the Sui blockchain.

The event was generously hosted at Reenite Spaces, a modern coworking and innovation hub located at 162 Oron Road, Opposite Kilimanjaro, Uyo. As a community-focused space, Reenite was proud to provide the venue to support SUI Nigeria’s mission of empowering local developers and growing the blockchain ecosystem in Akwa Ibom.

Participants had the unique opportunity to dive deep into the Move language, the powerful and safe programming language developed for the Sui blockchain. Through engaging workshops, live demonstrations, and coding sessions, developers explored how Move enables secure smart contracts and scalable dApp development.

Whether they were new to blockchain or experienced Web3 builders, attendees walked away with practical knowledge and new skills for developing on the Sui Network – one of the most exciting Layer 1 platforms in the blockchain space today.

The meet-up wasn’t just about code. It was about community. With over 50 developers and enthusiasts in attendance, the event sparked conversations, collaborations, and future projects. The sense of shared purpose and curiosity was a clear sign that Uyo’s tech scene is growing fast and full of promise.
